Fujinon Shows New Wide Angle-to-Telephoto 2/3-inch HD ENG/EFP Lens

Apr 25, 2006, 18:52
Fujinon's new HA16x6.3ERM HD lens designed for 2/3-inch imagers covers a very significant range of focal lengths over its 16x zoom ratio. Being offered for news, location and studio production as something of an all-purpose optic, this lens goes as wide as 6.3mm and zooms out (using a 2x extender) to maximum telephoto at 202mm.
When used with HD/SD switchable cameras, the HA16X6.3ERM wide angle increases to 7.6mm in the 4:3 mode. This is the same as FujinonÕs standard ENG/EFP lenses so no ratio converter or wide adaptor is required.
The minimum focusing distance has been reduced to 0.4 meters, and the new lens includes Fujinon's exclusive DigiPower servo system for increased control of zoom functions.
The HA16X6.3ERM will ship this fall.
