Key Utilities and Applications Providers Announce Support for Infinity Camcorders

Several companies offering key utility tools and applications software for broadcasters’ and video professionals’ newsgathering and production workflows today announced their support of the Grass Valley Infinity Series of digital media camcorders, digital media recorders, and off-the-shelf, removable media from Thomson.

Along with other media leaders, who represent a growing group of companies supporting the Infinity Series and its open approach to news and production workflows, CineForm, MediaConcept, MOG Solutions, and Telestream today also announced that they will participate in the Grass Valley Infinity Open Alliance Partner (OAP) initiative and work with Grass Valley to create tight integration between Infinity Series and their respective products.

Together with the Grass Valley Infinity series camcorders and digital media players/recorders, these companies bring their respective expertise - in high-performance plug-in accelerators, advanced codecs, MXF wrappers, and universal transcoding tools - to guarantee that customers can develop complete production systems that facilitate a variety of open, IT-immersed applications and workflows. Each of these OAP members provides key utilities and applications software for broadcasters and video professionals:
